# 1 - 🍚 Rice-ing all your Opportunities right ⚙️

We running in the late Stage of the Year. THE typically Time where everyone of us is thinking of new Year Resolutions.

And if so, you may be late already…

Why?

Because real Pro’s start with their Resolutions around Oct/Nov. This is how you can warm up and can implement all the Steps needed for your Resolutions to come true.

After the Big Bang you just follow through.

So in the new Year you already on Track to crush your Goals and stay easier motivated to walk the Walk. (read on here)

Anyhow

Back to the Topic. The new Year is coming in sooner than you think and setting your Priorities right is key.

But how to do that right? You may ask…

Let’s talk about DRICE. A great Prioritisation Framework for the Unknown.

DRICE stands for “Detailed RICE”. And the best Scenario to use this is, if you have plenty of Options and a lot of Uncertainty.

First, run all of your Ideas in how to achieve your planed Outcome through RICE. (If you are a Product Team in Software → run your Backlog through this 💻)

RICE is the process of T-shirt scoring (i.e. S/M/L 👕) your ideas according to their:

  • Reach: How many of your customers will be bothered with the new idea

  • Impact: If the idea works, how big would be the effect

  • Confidence: How likely it is to work

  • Effort: How much time you have to invest to validate

After you done this. You run the Detailed RICE.

Means you use a 30 Minute Timebox to give all your Ideas a score after you “riced” them and Rank them in Order of the best to the worst.

And there you are. Now you have a your Plan of Attack for the next Weeks.

If you want to dive deeper, then read on here…

Last Lenny Source I promise… (for this Year at least 🙃)

No I love this Framework. It’s deeply connected to SCRUM and Agile. Means this Process is highly flexible and helpful for very complex Problems.

Use it next Time and see how Life will get easier for you…

# 2 - 🦺 Domi’s „Building in Public“: 🚀 Ideas for Lead Magnets 👨‍💻

Welcome to my Public Building Section. This is where you can sit next to me in the first Coach of the Rollercoaster and learn with me together…

Talking of Lead Magnets in the last Issue….

Let’s be honest. As you saw in the last Weeks I constantly scanned other Newsletter, Social Media People and even big Outlets, in how they build their Following.

Just writing good Content is not enough.

Yes it have to be engaging. Yes you need to deliver Value. Yes you have to write in the right Tone.

But you need to spread the Word in a wide Way too. Lead Magnets & the Social Web are Key in turning in Subs.

Sounds not like a Surprise to all of us, I know.

But I have to get moving now. And I will come up first with some Lead Magnets Ideas and start building One till the new Year. (of course I will ask you for your Opinion soon too 🙏)

But for the LAST TIME, here some Input to get my Ideas going…

Next Week I will come up with a List of Lead Magnets which are suitable for this Newsletter and you, my Audience. 🫵

So stay tuned till the next Issue.

I am currently in the End-of-the-Year-Sprint at Work right now. You probably too… 🧑‍💻

But I promise you, that from next Week on we going to apply the Learnings and stop Theorising.

#Twitter-Box: ✍️ A whole Storytelling Degree in 5 Mins 🎓

I love to learn useful Business Stuff from unusual Places and Sources. Last Week I run into this Piece of Gold.

It’s American Author Kurt Vonnegut explaining in under 5 Mins how to nail Storytelling finally. I am also impressed by his easy, precise talking, while being even funny.

I know. You have to transfer this first into a specific Business Scenario, but let me tell you, if you want to succeed in Business, you need to tell good Stories.

And maybe learning Storytelling from Writers and Filmmakers is better, than just copy the Marketing Strategy of every random Competitor which seems to run good Ads.

Enjoy the Thread…

Is it a coincident that some of the best Ads from Business are made by real Filmmakers and Authors? Or why are so many Superbowl Ads made by Hollywood and not Marketing Agencies?
