Racing the Rails 🚅 & listen to the Sound of Music 🎧

Read time: 4.20 minutes

Servus Friends,

hope you had fun with the two lads from the Eire last Issue. This episode, we learn more about how a serious Race Driver can teach us more than one lesson & dive into useful Knowledge you should straight copy into your brain.

The Things we are digging in Today:

  1. The Sound of Sweden 🇸🇪

  2. Why I am getting very religious about Marketplaces 🙏

  3. #Twitter-Box: The Mike Schumacher of Copenhagen (in Terms of Coding) 🇩🇰

  4. #Domi's favourite 5 - The Shortlist

# 1 - 🔫 The best Shotgun-Move in Music 🇸🇪

You don't have just to binge watch "Wednesday" on a Wednesday...

Instead give this a Chance to learn more about how one of the latest big Unicorns in Europe was started...

I promise you that we cover swedish Founder Daniel Ek in a future Issue!

I love the Documentaries of Cold FusionYou can learn so much more in just some Minutes and still can binge on later. (may give them a Follow)

# 2 - The Bible's holy Grail of Network-Effects 🙏

If you ever think of building a Marketplace, this is for YOU...

Building Platforms to connect at least two different sides of Customers, is one of the hardest things you can choose to do. It's like running two firms at once.

There is so much to look out for, like just to begin with the always wanted "Flywheel-Effect" for Marketplaces.

This is why there are for every famous big B2C- or B2B-Platform like Amazon, Uber and the other big Brands, you will find dozens of Startups you never heard of lying at the graveyard with heaps amounts of burned money.

So using the holy Grail of Network-Effects is the Key to have at least a chance.

Making Users to use your Solution above others and giving Value to all Stakeholders is far from easy...

But like Moses brought us the 10 Commandments, this Blog brings us the Bible of Network-Effects...

So read on and believe, instead of just sending your prayers...

"How Marketplaces create Value for their Users?", was my main topic through studies. I still wish I knew that Blog beforehand.

# Twitter-Box: The danish Dynamite on Race-"Rails" 🇩🇰

DHH... or in full David Heinemeier Hansson is one of the most interesting Europeans who ever conquered the Bay Area.

In his early Years he invented a whole new programming Framework called Ruby-on-Rails, which is a Fast Track to code web apps and more. Some of the most famous Companies used Ruby to their success like Github, Shopify, Airbnb, Square, Twitch and Zendesk, just to name a few.

After that DHH started several Businesses including Basecamp, Hey and an investing Firm called 37signals.

I don't know how the hell he is doing all this gigs at once just being 43 Years of Age.

In addition to that, he also runs a great Podcast and published several great Books on Entrepreneurship.

But his most fun Hobby at all is Race Driving. In the past he even started at the 24 Hours of Le Mans...🏎

Just like the Smart Car above, DHH is Proof that you not necessarily need infinite Resources like Google to build something meaningful.

So you should definitely listen up when that man speaks & learn from him...

You may follow some pomodoro productivity "Gurus" on YT. Stop it! Just learn from a Man who is the real Deal when it comes to being effective. (his Podcast & Books)
