👊 Domi's favourite Things - Issue #11

🥟 Cyber Pirogi from Warsaw 🇵🇱

Read time: 4.50 Minutes

Servus Friends,

hope you had fun with the Deep Dive into the "Art of the Start", in the last Issue. 🚀

If you have a bucket list somewhere on your phone, I want you now to do one job:

"Add Warsaw, Poland..."

Wow, what a City! Over Eastern I went there with some Friends and it was stunning. The City is really modern (more Skyscrapers than maybe London), cheap (Uber around 3 Bucks a Ride & 30% off to Berlin) and a vibrant City (Great Bars, Restaurants and Clubs).

Just a little tip for Food. -> Fabryka Norblina. Really go there. Warsaw is maybe one of the most underrated cities in Europe right now. Even the Old Town is beautiful.

But enough of the Travel Tips here. This is still a Newsletter about Business...

The Things we are digging in Today:

  1. 🥟 Why Cyberpunks are fed with Pirogi from Warsaw 🇵🇱

  2. 🐈 "Copycat"-ing Copywriting - or How you make People listen... 🦻

  3. #Twitter-Box: Mr Product himself speaks his Wisdom (plus a Mail from Meta Mark) 👩‍🏭

  4. #Domi's favourite 5 - Random Parts Edition 🦾

# 1 - 🥟 Why Cyberpunks are fed with Pirogi from Warsaw 🇵🇱

So, let's talk Business. One of the fastest growing Industries on the whole Planet is Gaming. So meet the Warsaw-based polish Powerhouse of CD Projekt Red.

In case you don't know, CD Projekt is running some of the biggest Triple-A Franchises in Gaming like "The Witcher" (even got an own Netflix Show) and the crazy "Cyberpunk 2077" (Keanu Reeves is a Story Character in there). So they know what they do.

I always like to learn from other Industries as well & so should you.

Here is a great talk with CD Founder Marcin Iwiński about how to run a Game Studio...

Poland is great and full of potential. I really think we will see a strong hike in wealth in this country soon, because cheap wages, young good educated Folks. Plus the Food... If I would be younger I definitely would spend a year in Warsaw.

# 2 - 🐈 "Copycat"-ing Copywriting - or How you make People listen... 🦻

We live a more and more digital Life and that won't change in the Future. Even when ChatGTP and other AI's help you in terms of Writing, you should at least know some fundamentals on how to make people listen to you.

This is why I want to introduce you to Neville Medhora, the Founder of Kopywriting Kourse and the living proof that great Copywriting is more important than web design or whatever.

For real my Friends, this American Dude runs maybe the ugliest Blog I ever saw and makes Millions with it.

But how is this even possible? Because Neville is one of the best digital Writers out there and wrote even for the Hustle.

His Copy is really converting and he is showing you some great tips here...

Seriously that guy just writes Words like Eminem is spiting vocals around the 2000s. Learning Copywriting is a wise investment with a high ROI. In two weeks I join an other Copy Course for 10 Days and will report to you after.

#Twitter-Box: Mr Product himself speaks his Wisdom ( plus a Mail from Meta Mark) 👩‍🏭

I talked about him before and I will talk about him again. But I want you to remember at all times, if you ever start working on a digital product, look up Paul Buchheit's Words of Wisdom.

Paul invented Gmail and the famous Google Motto "Don't be Evil!", so that man has some sense. In this short Tweet he's talking about the Essentials of building a great Product.

The best Part? He uses a pretty funny Example on how not to do it. This "Example" shows that even Meta Mark (Zuck) himself can be wrong sometimes.

Enjoy reading this internal Meta-Mail from Mark about how they want to approach their new VR/AR-Products...

There is a reason why "One-Hit-Wonders" in Business, but also Music or other Stuff, are way more common than Folks which can show great results repeatedly. As good as Success is for you and your Career, it also can push you sometimes into blind spots like not caring for the Customers Needs anymore. So be careful...
