👊 Domi's favourite Things - Issue #23

🇪🇺 Europe vs America 🇺🇸 (our Friends from Fight Club...)

Read time: 4.30 Minutes

Servus Friends,

last week we covered my favourite Topic “Beer” 🍺 and had a look into how you can build a Unicorn with only Hops & Barley, in the scottish Issue. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This Time we fly a bit more High Level again. Because we talk about our Friends from America 🇺🇸 and the ongoing Competition between us.

In addition, I teach you how you can overcome the Customer Chasm when starting out with a new Business.

Have Fun and keep Learning…

The Things we are digging in Today:

  1. 🇪🇺 Why Europe is lagging behind the US 🇺🇸

  2. 🚀 How to overcome the Chasm Problem with your Startup 📈

  3. #Twitter-Box: 👨‍💼 Top Advice from the Godfather of Twitch 🖥

  4. #Domi's favourite 5 - Random Burger Edition 🍔

# 1 - 🇪🇺 Playing against Friends (The Western Fight Club) 🇺🇸

Today we get a bit broad again… And talk about how Economic Power is shaping the Business Environments between Europe and the US.

Let’s Face it. Just in terms of Numbers, Europe as a Continent have more People and maybe even more Financial Power than our big Brother from the other Side of the Atlantic…

But why is the US still leading against Europe in many Ways? (At least not in all Ways. I just say Social Systems, but psst)

This is an important Topic for me. Because the Main Mission of this Newsletter is to give European Entrepreneurial Minds better Tools and Knowledge to build thriving Businesses.

Therefore, I push some Economics and Macro-Shit every now and then to you. Not because I want to bore you out.

Because we all need that Context to build better Solutions in our Micro-World.

So Economics Explained is here to help us again. (really give this Channel a Follow)

My Tip, watch this after Work and then some Ryan Trahan and his 1-Cent Challenge through Europe. (also a great entrepreneurial Journey)

So enjoy…

I don’t want to get too political here. This is a Newsletter for Business and Entrepreneurship, not the Politico Blog. But we need more Europe not less to have a Voice in this World.

And please reply to this Mail and tell me if you like every now and then also Background Stuff like this… Your Feedback really matters to me. Thanks.

# 2 -🚀 How to push through the famous Customer Chasm for Real 📈

If you start something New, most of the Time the hard Part is to find your initial Customers.

You know that already… That’s not Rocket Science.

But what if I tell it’s even harder to find your next Customers after your first Ones?

If I think about that, I shit my Pants. But there’s help out there and I will bring this now to you, so we all can get good sleep tonight…

The Problem about finding these other Types of Customers is, that you not have a big Track Record and most of the Time your first Customers are more open for Innovative Business Ideas.

However this is not applicable to the Majority of all the other potential Customers out there. These Groups want to have Trust in you first and see that your Idea stands through the Test of Time.

In Business Academics we call this Gap of Customers the „Chasm“. And the Chasm scares us all.

But you know the Drill…

Domi is delivering for you like always! (did I really speak in the 3th Person about myself?😅)

Anyhow…

Meet Geoffrey Moore an American organisational Theorist and Author of the MUST READ and famous Business-Book “Crossing the Chasm”.

So don’t be afraid anymore and listen to the Advice of Geoffrey. (only 14 Mins long)

Keep binging…

Please if you ever start out with a new Business, Product Line or Project, then listen to Geoffrey again. Or read his Book. After you got your initial Customers, the hard Part is still coming…

#Twitter-Box: 👨‍💼 Top Advice from the Godfather of Twitch 🖥

This Man is a Bank. If I could follow just five People on the Socials, Emmett Shear would be One of them…

That Lad is full of great Advice for your Journey through Business. Making Twitch a Success Story was far from easy. So listen up when he’s posting on Twitter.

This Tweet is an un-obvious Advice about Leadership… So don’t be tricked and think twice if an employee ask you the next time a Question.

Emmett stepped down as CEO of Twitch some Months ago. And I pray he’s coming back with something New after his well deserved brake.

In the Meantime enjoy this Thread of Wisdom…

When Emmett stepped down recently, my Go-to-Guy for Business-Tactics Shaan Puri posted a Video about his Learnings from Emmett, during he worked under him.

Give it a watch here and use this Knowledge for managing and impressing your Boss next time.
